Leave the house before showings so the buyer feels comfortable to really look around your home.
Open blinds and curtains to let in as much light as possible!
Turn on all lights, and if you have a fireplace - turn that on too!
Place fresh flowers or bowls of fruit in the kitchen to add a bright detail.
Ensure trash from bathrooms and the kitchen as well as recycling is taken outside.
Any evidence of pets should be hidden away, and if possible take your pets out of the house!
