Why You Should Hire A Home Inspector

Why You Should Hire A Home Inspector

When purchasing a home, I HIGHLY recommend hiring a home inspector! I can’t count how many time small (or big) things have come up that saved my buyers countless dollars before closing on their new home! Swipe through the images to find out what your home inspector is looking for! 😀

They will check your foundation - Inspectors will typically walk the exterior/basement of the home and check for settlement problems and cracks.

They will inspect the roof - They will look for leaks, cracks, missing tiles/shingles and moss growth. They will also check the gutters as well as your attic ventilation.

Plumbing - Anything that is affected by water flow. Piping, showers, bathtubs, sinks, faucets, toilets and spigots will be checked for leaks, corroding or cracking in addition to looking for any diy repairs.

Electrical - The electrical panel gets looked at from top to bottom to ensure everything is up to code with correct wiring, grounding as well as checking for correct amperage ratings.

HVAC Systems - One of the first things a home inspector checks is the cooling/heating systems to make sure both are functioning properly. They typically let the systems run throughout the inspection and check the thermostat at the end of the inspection.
