I have compiled a list of 4 things to do when you’re getting ready to move! Save the list for later or share with someone whos moving!

1. Declutter - Start by getting rid of things that you no longer need or use! Old kitchen appliances you haven't used in years? Sell or donate!

2. Packing one room at a time - Start packing 2-3 weeks before the move. Starting with the least used items and rooms and go from there.

3. Hire a cleaner - Take the stress of last minute cleaning off your plate. A professional cleaning company will get your home ready for the next homeowner.

4. Pack a first week box - Your first-week box, or suitcase, should have what you will need during your first week in your new place. This includes but is not limited to clothing, toiletries, shoes, medications, and work equipment. If you have kids or pets, make sure to pack their essentials, too.

Something I think gets overlooked when people move out is the cleaning process. I can’t count the amount of times I have had to help out my clients who purchased a home find a cleaner because it was left in not so great conditions.
